Meet Derek, the owner and founder of Levity Events, who started his journey as DJ D-Rock in 2002. What began with ripping music from Napster and playing full cuts through Windows Media Player has grown into the powerhouse that Levity is today. Derek’s first-ever paid event was a middle school dance when he was just a junior in high school—a night he jokes was far from perfect, but it sparked a lifelong passion for music and event production.

Derek has been married to his husband, Justin, since 2009, and together, they have three amazing children, two dogs, and a household full of laughter and adventure. His journey from DJing in high school to leading a successful company is a testament to his dedication, growth, and love for the craft.
