Founded in 1881 in order to meet the need for children’s social activities for the 50some Jewish families at Congregation B’nai Jehudah, Samuel Latz and others formed what today is known as Oakwood Country Club. Today, the Club offers its members and guests an 18hole championship golf course and 6 court tennis facility, an exceptional dining experience as well as a fitness area and an olympic sized swimming pool. Banquet and meeting rooms are available for groups as small as 10 people to groups as 425 people. Oakwood is known for 2 trademarks: an exceptional culinary program as well as an unmatched calendar of children’s activities.
