Meet Ryan, a DJ who lives for the perfect throwback and the unforgettable energy of the crowd. Nothing beats the “OOHHH” from a packed dance floor when he drops the right song at the right time. His goal? To give every couple a stress-free wedding so they can fully enjoy the night, surrounded by the people they love.
With a background in music education from Missouri State and a start in the DJ world as a karaoke host in Westport, Ryan knows how to work a crowd—including the occasional tipsy uncle. His musical taste spans everything from pop punk to Bob Marley, Coldplay, and Styx, ensuring a diverse and engaging setlist. When he’s not DJing, you’ll find him playing poker, producing music, or singing along to his daughter’s favorite jams at full volume around KC (and if you think you’ve seen him—no, you haven’t).

We chose Levity Events for our November wedding and it was truly one of the best vendor experiences we had! From start to finish our DJ Ryan absolutely rocked it! Ryan helped each event on our wedding timeline flow seamlessly through the planning process by giving helpful suggestions and making it tailored to us. Could not have asked for a better DJ to lead the party at our wedding reception. Ryan did an incredible job of listening to our requests and incorporating these throughout the night while also mashing songs of similar genres. The energy never left the dance floor! Ryan at Levity Events made our night the MOST memorable, epic night we ever could have imagined! He communicated with us throughout the planning process making sure we always knew the next steps. I never had to follow up because he was one step ahead of us. We could tell right away he had lots and lots of experience and gave us sound advice on our wedding timeline and song choices. Everything flowed effortlessly and perfectly. He knows how to read a crowd to keep the party going, as well as keep everything on schedule so all you have to do as a newly married couple is enjoy your family, friends and night together. We are so happy we went with Ryan at Levity!!
I don’t even know where to begin with how AMAZING Ryan and the Levity team are. He went above and beyond during the entire planning process to make sure we felt comfortable leading up to the wedding. When it came time for our wedding day, he absolutely KILLED it. His communication with us and our wedding party/family during the day is great and he made sure everything went smoothly. I cannot even count the amount of compliments we got on our DJ that night and after. Our dance floor was PACKED and the vibes were everything we dreamed of and more. Ryan is beyond talented and passionate about his job. He will reassure you that he is there for you both and that it is not his day, but will also offer his perspective and helpful tips if you are interested.
